Boerum Hill is a vibrant, diverse neighborhood in the heart of brownstone Brooklyn. Named after a 17th century Dutch farmer, today Boerum Hill is known for its three and four-story townhouses, tree-lined streets, and traditional bluestone sidewalks.
It’s a place where a relaxed, low key friendliness prevails. On summer evenings, neighbors can often be found catching a breeze at the end of the day on the top of their stoops, trading greetings with the passing parade of parents pushing babies in strollers, dog walkers, and people coming home from work. The fall brings block parties; winter, snow angels in the park and snowmen; spring, flowering bulbs in window boxes and front gardens.
Convenient to many of Brooklyn’s top attractions, an antique buyer’s oasis, and home to the borough’s restaurant row, Boerum Hill has fast gained recognition for its central location and distinctive charm.
